Preparing
to Perform a Mystery Shop
- Please
review all the questions of the evaluation form before
you conduct the mystery shop. It is important to memorize
as many of the questions as possible prior to arriving
on site.
-
Determine how you are going to record the notes of
your mystery shop. Verify that all of your mystery
shopping instruments are operational, and make sure
you have a back up way of note taking if your first
option fails you while performing the mystery shop.
- Determine
where you are going to administer your note taking
while on site – bathroom stall, telephone booth,
the car you drove in, or any other hidden location.
- Make
sure you have a valid driver’s license.
-
Make sure your credit card, checking account, or cash
is enough to cover the costs of the mystery shop.
- Do
not take with you any mystery shopping instructions
or materials that will blow your cover if seen by
an employee.
-
If you are conducting a mystery shop for a casino,
please get written notification from your Account
Manager that you are allowed to use the player’s
points for your own use. Do not presume that the player’s
points accumulated while performing a casino mystery
shop are yours to use. It is most often an industry
standard that the player’s points are owned
by the casino not you.
