Completing the Evaluation

  • Make sure that your computer is operational to login to the evaluation form.
  • If you have any difficulties with your computer or Internet access you should be prepared to have a back up plan in place to complete your evaluation form by the stated deadline. QSI Specialists offers computers in our offices for shoppers to use to complete evaluations. If this does not suit your needs, you may want to consider using Kinko’s computers to access your online evaluation. However, keep in mind any online charges to use a back up computer at Kinko’s will be at your expense.
  • Fill in all fields of the evaluation form.
  • Provide a detailed recount of the service interaction. Do your best to create a visual picture of the interaction in the mind of the reader. Let the reader know the exact verbiage of the employee when you can, and provide a complete visual description of person being evaluated. When writing a good evaluation it is always important to create a storyline of how each interaction unfolded keeping in mind that the person you are writing for is not present with you on the mystery shop.
  • Use proper punctuation and grammar in your report.
  • Try to make the written part of the evaluation interesting to the reader. Do not over use words, such as “The food was good.” Do your best to find appropriate adverbs, adjectives and nouns to make the report flow and stimulating to the reader.
  • Before submitting your shop double check for accuracy and to make sure all questions are answered. Do not solely rely on spell check to catch errors. Spell check can not determine if you have used the wrong word in a sentence, for example: their vs. there. So make sure to completely reread your work before submitting the evaluation form.
  • Use spell check on your computer to check the spelling of your comments in the evaluation form before submitting completed evaluation to the client.
  • Another great tip to make sure your spelling is correct is to first write your evaluation in a Word Document and then cut and paste your work into the client’s evaluation form. This way as you are writing your evaluation answers you can monitor improper spelling and grammar usage.
  • Most all of the evaluations that you write for QSI Specialists will be assigned a grade by the client and/or your Account Manager. Based on your overall writing score combined with your punctuality, dependability, observations, etc. will determine your success in attaining more sophisticated and higher-end mystery shops.
